Hostal Silvia VEDADO: located in one of the most emblematic residential neighborhoods of Havana, Vedado, which is characterized by its abundant vegetation, wide streets and a group of beautiful houses from the beginning of the 20th century. It is located on one of the main roads (c. Paseo), which -with its wooded parks along its entire length- allows a pleasant 1.5 km walk to the boardwalk. On this journey, you will be able to appreciate the large classicist-style mansions, along with modern multi-family buildings and hotels from the 50s, which transformed the elitist character of the neighborhood into a more popular one. It is in the center of the city, the living heart of Havana.

Home
Typical example of the mansions that characterize El Vedado. The property was built in 1925, and belongs to the classicist eclectic style. On the ground floor are the main spaces for common uses (dining room, reception, rooms and terraces). Upon entering you will be able to appreciate the leaded stained glass window with floral motifs, which frames the main corridor, the two-branch staircase, the Carrara marble floors and the plasterwork decorations on the ceilings. The upper floor is the place to relax (perfect for sunbathing on the roof, enjoying a drink in the late afternoon or -simply- killing time watching the comings and goings of street life).

Bedrooms
On the ground floor there is a room (with direct access to the garden). On the first floor, there are the other three rooms, one of them with its own terrace. In the accessory area of the property, we also offer a two-story apartment, with a bedroom, kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, suitable for long stays.

In this case, the (excellent) location of the city, its beautiful architecture, the spaces, the spaciousness, the gardens and the warmth in the treatment were very decisive.

We offer a full and rich, varied, continental breakfast. Full of vitamins, with sweet and salty and very healthy (as far as is reasonable, we avoid industrial foods). We advise you to hire it at the same time you make your reservation.

Hosts
Its original owners lived in this valuable property until, in 1993, we, the current owners, received it (by inheritance). It is a family business that already has 30 years of experience. Thanks to this business we have been able to preserve and maintain the building in all its dignity (something that worried the family).
